Liberal-slanted media outlets have spent this entire week keenly focused on their dream impeachment story: Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with a Russian lawyer to get dirt on Hillary Clinton during the election and President Trump’s possible knowledge of that meeting. While they were busy with that, however, the Senate made a move that has conservatives everywhere cheering.
The Daily Caller reported that the Senate cleared several of President Donald Trump’s judicial nominees on Thursday. This came hours before Trump’s White House announced it’s fifth slate of judicial candidates.
The Senate Judiciary Committee voted to advance the confirmation of several Trump nominees to federal appeals courts, including John Bush, a Louisville lawyer in private practice, and Damien Schiff, a public interest litigator. Bush was nominated to the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, while Schiff was tapped for a 15-year term on the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
In addition, Kevin Newsom’s nomination to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals advanced to the full Senate 18-2.
Conservative legal experts have praised Trump for nominating Bush, Schiff, and Newsom.
“Thank you to President Trump for keeping your campaign promise and continuing to pick excellent nominees, including those who were voted on today,” said Carrie Severino chief counsel of the conservative Judicial Crisis Network.
We’re glad to see that Trump is forging ahead with his campaign promises despite the challenges he faces with the fake news media at every turn!
